Titanic: human body remains? Shipwreck site photo: likely forensic remains

No bodies, nor bones have been found near Titanic after 100 years, yet the photos of footwear and clothing give some clues to specialists.

Boots and coat parts found at the Titanic shipwreck site are covering human corpse remains, states James Delgado from the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration.

"I as an archaeologist would say those are human remains," Delgado said, referring to the photograph of the coat and boots specifically. "Buried in that sediment are very likely forensic remains of that person."

Photos of shoes and coat, plates and kitchenware found at Titanic shipwreck site, have come into public attention on April 15, 2012.

A pair of boots and a coin survived the 100-year underwater confinement.
